Sisu Counselling is a private counselling service based in Bangor, Northern Ireland. We offer an integrative counselling approach, which means we draw from a range of different modalities and tailor the sessions to your individual needs.

At Sisu Counselling, we strive to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for our clients to explore their feelings and experiences, so that together we can make sense of their lives. Our trust and understanding are key, and we are committed to helping our clients make positive changes in their lives.

No two people are the same. Therapy needs to suit each client as an individual. That's why every therapy session is different.

Within the counselling space, be that in a room face-to-face or over a video call, I aim to provide the opportunity for each client to be heard. To provide a space without judgement, where the my goal is to encourage the client to find strength within themselves to keep pushing on when life throws obstacles in their path.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people as they work through how to best navigate their individual journey. The main focus for me is the relationship between myself and the client; my belief is that where a client feels safe and heard, they can be open and honest.

Can't life be hard at times? The hardest thing can be getting in touch and reaching out. As a nurse, I am aware of how physical health and mental/emotional health work together and affect our overall wellbeing.

I am an integrative counsellor who primarily practices a person centred approach but using psychodynamic (past experiences / childhood) and CBT (thoughts / actions / feelings) in my work. My purpose is to provide a quiet, friendly environment and together establish mutual trust so that all chosen aspects of life can be openly explored in a non judgemental and confidential way.

I am also registered as a young person's counsellor so happy to see adults and those aged 10 years upwards. If you think counselling is what you need at this time, please get in touch.

And remember ..... little changes can have a big impact.
